Trial Closure and Limited Operation of Side Gate

Due to the feedback received by residents’ requesting for a lower monthly subscription, the committee with this interest in mind have decided to conduct a Trial Closure of the Side Gate (Entry/Exit Point along road SS21 /42 “the Nursery”) for duration of 1 week.

During this period, the Side Gate will be opened for a limited time only that is during peak hours from Mon to Fri only at;

- (Morning) 7.00 am until 9.00 am
- (Evening) 5.30 pm until 7.30 pm

With this trial, we wish to determine the whether a lower cost of operation via Option A, would or would not be feasible for implementation.

Option (A) calls for a single access gate into our area. This mode of operation will require a minimum number of 4 guards (2 number in Day Shift, and 2 number in Night Shift) to operate and is the most economical. It is commonly applied to most gated communities or townships.

Option (B) is what we are currently doing now. In this mode, there are 2 access gates opened during the Day Shift, and only one (1) access gate opened in the Night Shift. For this, the minimum number of guards required to man the area effectively, without compromising on the safety and security, will be 5 (i.e. 3 guards in Day Shift, and 2 guards in Night Shift). It is not a very economical method as compared to the former.

Option (C) for 2 access gates to operate for 24 hours, a bare minimum of 6 guards would be required (3 numbers in Day Shift and 3 numbers in Night Shift).

Nevertheless, Option C is not within our financial reach. Option B is what we are doing now. It will leave us in status quo and will not help us further bring down the cost. So, that leaves us with only Option A as the most possible solution.

We wish to gather sufficient feedback from as much of the residents as possible to consider before making collective decision. Let us know your feedback by taking the following polls below.
