29th Recycling for Sinking Fund

It has been quite a while since we have updated on the recycling event. Here are some photos on the 29th Recycling session.

Rain or Shine, his event goes on monthly without fail. It helps to build our community spirit and also environmental consciousness. Not to mention too that it helps strengthen our finances against unforeseen events that requires funding (e.g. Fallen Tree Damage Security Gate, Damaged Boom Pole)

For our 29th event, we have received a BUMPER Harvest! Will need to keep up on this. Many thanks to our loyal resident members for contributing.

Due to heavy rain on 16th April, the event was postponed. It was held on 23rd April (Sat) instead.

Response was good even though it was delayed by 1 week.

It was unfortunate that no photographs were taken on that day. Perhaps for our coming event, i.e. its 21st.

Contributions received during these last few event has been quite average. Off and on, there were some good bumper months.

13th, 14th, and 15th Recycling for Sinking Fund

As if it just started yesterday, with a glimpse, we are on our 15th session.

The collections received from the 13th session onwards, was NOT GOOD. The picture below is our 15th session.

We hope the response will improve in the sessions to come as our coffer require these funds for events such as, Damaged Boom Pole, Fallen Tree Damage Security Gate, and Repairing Fence Near River.

11th and 12th Recycling Event

News on 11th and 12th Recycling Event

On the 11th Session (17th July 2010), we have managed to receive RM 280 from the papers sold.

Below are the pictures of collections obtained from our 12th session held on 21st Aug 2010. Not bad as well, and quite a handsome quantity received.






This Recycling for Sinking Fund is a monthly event. It is gradually picking up good response.

10th Recycling Campaign - A RECORD BREAKER

10th Recycling Campaign - A RECORD BREAKER

On 19th June 2010 (Sat), we have had a JUMBO collection.

In total, we have received an amount of more than 800kgs of old newspaper. The takings from this 10th Session was RM 381/=, one of our highest.


Special for this session, volunteers set up Buntings at several strategic locations around our neighborhood. The Buntings were donated by a volunteer committee member.

Rain or shine many turned up to support this program. Thank you.

The collection received this time was a bit low. It started to rain at 10.30 am.

Luckily, we were able to get the collection truck to come early before the newspapers get wet.

Project - 6th, 7th and 8th Recycling for Sinking Funds

Project - 6th, 7th and 8th Recycling for Sinking Funds

Month by month volunteers and supporters have been contributing old news papers for our recycling project.

These funds have been gradually accumulating giving us a sustainable income that could help to support the upkeep of facilities and activities in our neighborhood.

Session 6th and 7th was a true record breaker. We have had the largest collection ever received. Session 7 alone itself, we have collected an amount of more than RM 300/= .

Session 8th was a bit slow. Here are some pictures of collections received that day (17th Apr 2010, Saturday).

We are now coming to our 6th session of the Recycling for Sinking Funds. This event will be held on 16th Jan '10 (Sat), from 9 am onwards. The drop of point shall be the same i.e. at the Padang.

Outcome from 3rd and 4th Recycling For Sinking Funds

3rd Event on 17th Oct '09 - The takings received from our 3rd event was RM 150.40. This payment is made to DUROA A/C 3, and we received the cheque yesterday, Saturday 21st Nov '09. (see picture below)



4th Event on 21st Nov '09 - In conjunction to that, yesterday was our 4th Recycling for Sinking Funds event. The group of usual members showed up between 9.00 am until 12.00 pm to contribute.

It rained a little, but overall the weather was fair.

Some of our members took extra effort to collect from their friends and neighbors old newspapers to help giving extra - thank you -.

The quantity received for this month should quite good.

Please do not forget keep your old newspapers for our session on 19th Dec '09 (see event calendar). That will be our 5th !
