Book your date on 3rd Oct 2009 (Saturday) - Hari Raya and Moon Cake Festival Community Gathering

It was decided to organize another community gathering on 3rd Oct 2009 (Saturday) so that it coincides with two major Malaysian festival; Hari Raya Aidilfitri, and Moon Cake Festival

Hari Raya

Program on that day shall tentatively be; the kick-off by Guests of Honor, and then following with a Hari Raya "makan" feast.

Moon Cake

Later in the evening (circa 8 pm onwards), parents can bring their children to the "Padang" to lite candles or parade their lanterns (hope you can recall your childhood days). Those that come, its is encouraged that you bring along some Mooncakes (Halal ones only) to share with everyone i.e. mooncake potluck, and for those who are not into this, please come to join the fun and also have some mooncakes.

Our Plea

We need volunteers to help us lead and organize the sub-committee for this event. Please contact us if you are able to help.
