10th Recycling Campaign - A RECORD BREAKER
On 19th June 2010 (Sat), we have had a JUMBO collection.
In total, we have received an amount of more than 800kgs of old newspaper. The takings from this 10th Session was RM 381/=, one of our highest.
Special for this session, volunteers set up Buntings at several strategic locations around our neighborhood. The Buntings were donated by a volunteer committee member.
This Recycling for Sinking Fund is a monthly event. It is gradually picking up good response.
The event is held on every 3rd Saturday of the month. Details on this event is always announced on this blog. Please check our Event Calendar from time to time to find out about coming this activity.
The idea for recycling old newspaper to contribute towards our sinking fund was brought up during the 4th of July 2009 gathering. It was as part of the initiative to raise Funds for our community programs.
